  6. Zach says:

It keeps returning syntax errors no matter what I type.

  7. Saunen says:

You are receiving a syntax error since you copy pasted the ext without changing A: to whatever drive your system is running on usually C: by default

  8. Yugi says:

  9. sharan says:

    Hi

I want to know whether this technique works with any two computers connected through internet… or only with the pc’s in a LAN network…

I tried this and getting an syntax error message :

    MESSENGER
    User: ip address(***.**.**.**)
    Message: message

An error occurred while sending a message to 121.121.123.2.
The message alias could not be found on the network.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2273.
Press any key to continue . . .

  10. oppong says:

how can i use it on the internet?

  11. ASH says:

hi there, XP users have to have the messenger service running on their pc to be able to recieve messages, enable it by right clicking my computer/manage go to services then start the messenger service and set it to automatic,

vista users have to go to enable it in add and remove components / its on the left when in add and remove programs, make sure the message queuing’s box is ticked then click ok.

you should be able to now send / recieve messages to each other. this is normally for network admin to send everyone on the network a message. hope this helps, feel free to add or correct this.
