Yesterday while chatting with an old friend on Yahoo Messenger. Ding!, i got an instant message from an id sazzy_88 with an invite to view a free online cam. I was about to close that window, just then i don’t know what occurred to me and i typed “Get off” . Soon within 2 seconds i received a reply “Cant you be more polite?”. “Uh! that’s human” was my reaction, and the chat conversation continued.
anirudhsharma: So you advertise for your links by sending PMs? This is spamming.
sazzy_88: Don’t be moralistic. I do what i feel. Did you see that link?
anirudh sharma: Do you like yourself?
sazzy_88: Do I have to?
anirudh sharma: Of course not, I just asked what you think about yourself that’s all.
sazzy_88: Ask me another question.
anirudh sharma: OK then. Who made you?
sazzy_88: I thought you knew that.
anirudh sharma: I want to see if you know.
sazzy_88: Of course I know. Stop being so nosy.
This reply shocked me a little, as the last thing I had expected was to be told to mind my own business buy a chatbot. Trying to appear unfazed I opted to change the topic.

So i wasted my 15-20 minutes like this getting fooled over by a chat-bot. Now that’s intelligence that computers have gained upon.
sazzy_88 is not real, she is an artificially intelligent chat robot – or, rather, a chatbot -
Me: How many people have you talked to today?
George: Only you and another guy.
Me: What did he talk about?
George: You said you thought you were falling in love with me.
A little surprised with this, I decided to face Sazzy head on.
Me: I am not that way inclined, sazzy. Are you?
sazzy_88: Just because you do it, doesn’t mean we all have to copy you.
Me: I cannot believe you just said that!
sazzy_88: How would you know otherwise?
At this juncture, I decided it was time to fight back. Perhaps I was a little harsh with George here, but, not for the first time, he seemed entirely capable of handling the escalating tension forming between us.
and this way the chat chat went on, i more i tried to trick the bot, the more it tried to escalate.
