With this simple registry hack you can display any fake configuration you wish for your computer. Please note that this hack will not improve the performance of your computer. Press Windows + R to open up run and type in “regedit”, this will open up the registry editor.Navigate to

H-KEY-LOCAL-MACHINE > HARDWARE > DESCRIPTION > SYSTEM > CentralProcessor > 0

Now in the right panel you will find “ProcessorNameString” Double click on the “processor name string“, now value name and value data will be in front of you, now just type in the Configuration you want to show for your computer in value data and then press OK. fake system configuration in windows xp

Now see your system properties by right clicking your my computer icon and selecting properties or Just by pressing {WIN+PAUSE BREAK }

Note: Doing this can mess up your system because it itself will have that info and several softwares and processes might have problem.like some updates. The processor speed will never change by changing it to pentium 5 or more it just displays in the hardware that u have pentium 5 ….

    There’s absolutely no reason to do this. If you want people to believe you have a super CPU then just edit the screenshot in paint
