Here are few steps to reduce the startup time of windwos XP
- Go to your bios and set Hard disk at the top in boot priority list.
- Remove unnecessary files and short cuts from desktop, store them elsewhere.
- Remove un necessary programs from start up
Goto start>run and type in msconfig
This will launch the system configuration utility and remove unnecessary programs from startup.
4.Use Microsoft bootvis to optimize your boot time.
Install bootvis , and launch the utility. Click on trace in the menu, and select optimize system.
- You can check the performance of boot vis by logging the driver delays before and after optimizing the system. To find the driver delays click on nextboot+driver delays. You will get a graph showing the process and the time at which they are launched.
